Family Session Information

Your session will be relaxed, fun, and enjoyable for the whole family! We will take a combination of posed and lifestyle photos, using a number of different backgrounds within the location of your choice. During your family session, we will walk, talk, play, you will go about your normal family interactions, and I will snap away. Every once in a while, when the setting is just right, I'll stop and pose you for a few portraits. You can expect to have whole family photos, mommy and me photos, daddy and me photos, sibling photos, couple, and individual photos (if you like).

Preparing For Your Family Session

The most common question I get before a photo session is "What should I/we wear?!" While I don't claim to be a fashionista, I can give you a few tried and true tips:

Pick 3-4 colors and incorporate at least one into everyone's outfits.

If you like patterns, mix some solids with some simple patterns - nothing too busy!

Accessories, such as scarves, hats, and jewelry, are a good way to add color to an outfit.

Try to steer clear of white. It can look very harsh in photos.

Light pastels behave very similarly to white. Try to avoid them.

If it's wrinkly, iron it!

Most of all, be yourself and be comfortable!
