Child Session Information

The very best way to photograph kids is to photograph them while they're doing what they do best: being kids!  Your session will include lots of play, laughter, and conversation, with snack, drink, and hug breaks.  A favorite stuffed animal, doll, or toy is often a comfort to younger children who may be a little nervous.  Bring one or two along!  It's often nice to look back on this time in your child's life and remember the little things that made your kiddo happy.

About Your Child Session

Preparing For Your Child Session

I love the goofy, funny, quirky, innocent spirit that children bring to a photo session!  That being said, it is often parents' greatest fear that their child/children will not cooperate during a photoshoot.  If you find yourself in this situation, please don't stress!  Remember, I've seen it all, and it's my goal to capture your children's personalities, not just forced smiles.

Below are a few ideas that I've picked up over the years:

  • Bring an outfit change.

  • Bring along a favorite toy, in case your little one needs some comfort.

  • Bring a snack and a (non-staining) drink.

  • If you're not above bribing, it usually works out well :)
